Introducing the 12'6" Tower iRace SUP Package

Includes a 12'6" by 30" by 6" inflatable SUP, a 3-PC Fiberglass Paddle, a high-pressure SUP pump, and a high-end Tower branded diamond grooved deck pad, a fin box with a removable center fin, a hand hold strap, a roll-up carrying strap, a towing ring on the nose, and a leash attachment ring on the tail.

A New Design for Speed and Distance

It will shock you how fast the 12'6' Tower iRace inflatable paddle board is. This board is made for racers or recreational paddlers who still want the speed of a race board. At 12'6", it will cut through choppy water. If you're near an open ocean or larger lake, having a longer board will make it easier for you to paddle farther distances. This board is also a bit narrower than our other models, so it is a bit more streamlined for those out there who want to race with it. As SUP grows, you see more and more inflatable boards in races. We believe this design, with the pointed nose, narrower width and 6" thickness will be the go-to board for racers out there.

Even with all the benefits of a race board, that doesn't go to say recreational paddlers can't handle this board. If you're looking for a board faster than our all-around Adventurer, but a bit more compact than the exceptionally speedy Xplorer, this is the board for you! It has tons of volume and stability for everyday users. At 12'6", the added length also helps stabilize taller riders who may feel a bit wobbly on a shorter board.

Amazing Rigidity

Be weary of newer boards made with the fused process. While they may be lighter, they lose rigidity and durability in this newer construction process and are much lower quality boards overall.

The Tower iRace Inflatable SUP is made from extremely rugged materials like those you'd find on the highly regarded Zodiac boats and extreme river rafts. The amazing rigidity in the iRace is created by thousands of vertically oriented strands of identical length that connect the top deck to the bottom. When inflated, they form a structure that has the rigidity of a piece of plywood, and the thicker you go the exponentially more rigid it gets. You'll be amazed. We can literally put the front tip of the 12'6" Tower iRace on one chair and the rear tip on another chair and a 200 lb person can stand in the middle and you can barely see the thing flex.

A Viable EPS/Epoxy Board Alternative - We're not kidding!

Traditionally, inflatable SUPs were only a consideration for traveling - store one in the cuddy cabin on your yacht, take it with you on the plane, or haul it into that secret mountain lake or river and you can stand up paddle board in the farthest corners of the earth. With the combination of speed and rigidity of the Tower iRace, an inflatable SUP is hard to beat on flatwater with anything less than a full-fledged racing hard board... and don't be surprised if it outperforms a few of those.

Benefits of an Inflatable SUP over an EPS/Epoxy board

  • Easier to store - When rolled up, it's 1 foot in diameter and 35" wide.

  • Indestructible - Never worry again about dings and board cracks. I've literally thrown these things off a 2nd story deck and I frequently set it down anywhere (gravel, a parking lot, even on cement stairs).

  • Easier to transport - No need for roof racks. About the size of a rolled sleeping bag, it easily fits in any car or boat, and can even be strapped onto a bicycle or motorcycle. You can even take it on a plane.

  • Softer - You can literally play bumper boats with these. Kids can jump from one board to the other like they're jumping on an inner tube. You won't get knocked out in the waves either.

  • Easy on the feet - While very rigid, the air does cushion your feet a lot more than a hard board, no matter how good the deck pad is.

  • Less expensive - Which also makes it a great idea as a second board for travel or guests.

Expectations Exceeded April 6, 2017
Review by: Mainer Malcolm from Bath, ME United States
Does it perform as well as a "hard" board? No... Will I use it the next time I do Sea Paddle NYC (a SUP excursion around Manhattan)? No... Is it awesome in terms of its intended purpose? Yes... I live in Maine and have already taken it to both Cali and Florida. It checked through baggage just fine. (And I stuffed wetsuit, booties, and PFD all in the same bag with the board, paddle, and pump.) From the time I parked at water's edge, I was up and paddling within 10 minutes.  You trade off some performance in the interest of convenience, but at the same time the performance far exceeds what I expected. very happy with the purchase.

I thought when I got my standup paddleboard that that was all I was going to get. But I also got a bunch of great and professional people who love to  Paddleboard as much as I do. This is a great company. Thanks

Great exercise, plus fun for the whole family December 10, 2015
Review by: Doug from Winchester, CA
Don't think about it... just do it!

The iRace is an amazing board, smooth, fast and very comfortable in handling. Don't let the black finish scare you either, you're in water, it stays pretty cool, if your going leave it out of the water through a towel over to keep it cool.

Pick up the iRace and the Adventure 2 in June, traveled cross country with them, extremely portable, easy to inflate. I used a electric air pump to start the process, it would get them to about 4 psi and hand  pump the rest of the way, it took about 10 minutes to inflate the two of them.

The whole family had a great time, even my 10 year old son handled either board extremely well.

We went one step further and purchased a light system through NOCQUA, night time paddle boarding is too cool and a lot of fun.

Great exercise, relaxing and a ton of fun, we have had them on the water at least a dozen times since we picked them up.

Great speed & stability over the Adventurer Board May 28, 2015
Review by: Dominic from Redding, CA
I originally purchased the Adventurer Board (9'10") Board. At first it was great when I was paddling solo around Whiskeytown Lake in Northern California. However, when I went to paddle with my friends, they all had 11-12 ft boards (fiberglass). Even at a medium pace, I was trailing them and working 2-3 times as hard just to make an attempt to keep up.

About two weeks into my purchase, I found out the iRace was released. I was intrigued because I didn't want to get the 14' board I paid the extra $100 and did the exchange.

Last weekend, I went with my friends and this time, I was a little faster than them. The The paddle/ore is so much lighter and I definitely have more stability.

My only gripe? It's mostly black and I hope it can hold up in the heat here, since the Summers get up to 112; I don't want to scorch my hands and feet on the top surface, but, other than that, it's a great board. All my friends who are active paddle boarders were impressed.

Great board May 18, 2015
Review by: ron from Idaho
I bought just the ISUP RACE itself as I have a paddle and auto pump already.  This board is much faster on the water than the adventurer and just as stable.  Glad TOWER decided to build this board.
