Great board, easy to get up on. Rides small waves good too, I live in Tampa so we don't get large waves. I did not get the free paddle with this purchase because it was not packaged that way when I purchaced.

We love our new paddle board. Just tried it out over the weekend at White Lake. Was able to do push-ups and other exercises on it. Our daughter's boyfriend brought his 90-lb. lab "Lucy" to the lake. Lucy couldn't resist and climbed up on the board. Would send a pic, but I don't see an option for that. Thanks much for a great product!

I am not a small guy at 6'2' and 235 lbs but we've taken it out on the lake 4 times in a week. My wife, my kids and I fight over time on it so it looks like I am going to need another one.

very happy with the board. Been on several fresh water lakes, perfect. My wife and I spent a week at New Smyrna Beach, FL on the east coast. (Atlantic) Had a great time out in the ocean. It took some getting used to but we were able to paddle out through the waves and go for long rides. At the end of the week I was able to ride some of the smaller waves into shore. This board may be a little big for surfing but it was fun. Bigger waves would take the nose down as I was not able to stand further back on the board when the wave took me. (I haven't surfed since high school 35 years ago) We bought my wife the 9'10" board which will be perfect for her and probably better at the beach. I weigh about 200 pounds and the Social was more than adequate for my size. Got many compliments on the board and absolutely loved my time at the beach.

Did alot of investigation before i bought the board and without a doubt this is the best board for the price! I have gone out all over San Diego, and have taught at least 11 people how to SUP on this board!

I did a lot of research and did a lot of demos and rentals to see what I liked and what felt comfortable to me when I was on the water. My Social is a great first board. There may be other higher performance boards or some with higher build quality, but you will also pay A LOT more for those boards. My Social paddles great, is stable, with the 2+1 fin set up it turns nicely even in rough water. I weight 225 lbs and I can easily cruise with my 35 lbs daughter sitting at my feet. The deck pad is soft but still gives good board feel and grip. The imported Socials come with a 2+1 fin box set up. Only the domestic made Socials have fin boxes. I went straight from the Tower office to Mission Bay and paddled right out into the bay. My Social felt smooth and stable the moment it hit the water. As I gain ability and find comfort in various situations on the water I may seek other function or shape in a SUP, but for the foreseeable future my Social is just right.
