Description Technical Specs

At a volume of 235 liters and a width of 31, this 11'5" board is truly tandem friendly. It will glide smoothly carrying up to 350 lbs, so throw a friend up front and enjoy the water together. While its a beefy stand up paddle board in terms of stability and floatation, at only 32 lbs with pad and fins its actually lighter than many of the other large SUPs on the market.

Tower SUP Comparison
Tower Social 11'5" tandem friendly SUP (on bottom) next to our 9'10" Tower Fit

A classic, triple stringer surfboard look with ample rocker, a thin, sexy squash tail, and a simple, yet elegant sanded finish make for a 60s throw-back Southern Californian look. It feels like a surfboard. It looks like a surfboard, intentionally. Dont be surprised when it turns a few heads at the beach in stark contrast to the majority of goofy, painted windsurfer-like SUPs flooding the market.

The finishing touches on the board were given just as much thought. Unlike many SUPs, where the traction pad is an afterthought, the sharp looking Tower branded traction pad was designed as an accessory to enhance the beauty of the board. A five Futures fin box configuration was added to allow for flexibility in intended use. An automatic vent and a single longboard SUP center fin in is included with every board.

The Tower Social 115 - a fun, social SUP that will have the whole family spending more time on the water.

Tower classic and inflatible Paddle Boards August 26, 2014
Review by: Rocky from South Carolina
I purchased the Tower 11' 5" Social paddle board so my Golden Retriever Bella (60 lbs) and I could go boarding on our lake. The board exceeded my expectations for the two of us. We had no problem balancing the board the first time out for either of us on the board. The board is very stable with the dog aboard. ( I an 6 ft and 190 lbs). It was very stable even in pretty rough water during the weekend when there are a lot of boats churning the water. We usually go out for an hour and the board is easy to paddle with two aboard. Since we were having company, I also purchased the Tower 9'6" Inflatable paddle board. I can take the dog on this board also with no problems and it is very stable. I can not say enough good things about both of my tower boards. They far exceeded my expectations and do a great job with two aboard or alone. The Tower people were very friendly with excellent customer service. I highly recommend the Tower paddle boards.

Great Board January 2, 2014
Review by: Michael Branch from Florence, OR United States
Still winter in Oregon, waiting on a 7mil wetsuit, have not tried board yet but it is beautiful, put on nose and tail guards so far still need rail tape bit I think this board is going to be solid, awesome 60s look, I am a old school surfer from the 80s in my 40s, I have tried the foam boards , but I cant wait to get this stick out in the water !  Delivery was quick and easy , just had to meet the semi truck at the house and help him unload, board came in perfect condition. I give this board a #1 Shacka ( hang Loose) Surf on  all.

Social SUP August 13, 2013
Review by: Brian from Wenham, MA United States
Love this board!  New design with GoreTex membrane eliminates need to install/uninstall vent plug.  This board is VERY stable and durable.  I am 6'6", 230lbs and I struggled balancing on other, longer boards I had rented.  This board is a dream and it turns on a dime.  Highly recommend for tall paddlers but my kids use it easily too.  Side note - the carbon fiber paddle is impossibly light weight, yet incredibly rigid.  Amazing!

Paddle very light. Works great in ocean waves.

Paddle long enough to be very stable for beginners. Great for two people.

Love it! July 22, 2013
Review by: mark rowlands from bloomfield hills, MI United States
Being 62 and now closing in on 190 lbs. with a 70 lb. Dog who insists on joining in any and all water sports, I was looking for a board with plenty of floatation to handle the load.  The Social was the perfect choice.  It handles both of us effortlessly and has drawn comments from my friends and neighbors here on Walloon Lake in Northern Michigan (Ernest Hemingway's Summer Home growing up) . The addition of the traction pad for Amber was a great too, since she loves to be out on the tip of the board.

Thanks again!
