Stand Up Paddle Board Deck Pads

SUP deck pads serve three purposes on a stand up paddle board. First the provide traction, so your feet don’t slip. Surfers typically use surf wax, but they’re only standing a small amount of the time on the water. In SUP, you’re standing the whole time, which brings up the second purpose of a stand up paddle board deck pads, cushioning. SUP traction pads are grooved or diamond cut to provide extra shock absorption. Lastly, deck pads also act to spread the rider’s weight across the deck of the SUP board instead of it being focused squarely on the heels and balls of your feet, which could lead to pressure dings on your deck over time.
