New River Fin for Inflatable SUP

I can't get enough of this board. The new fin is just what I needed. Next year I'm buying a fishing license! This fin allows you to get in close to shore on lakes and tracks beautifully. I'm so pleased with my board. I pack it up in a suitcase and take it with me on vacation, Hawaii here I come. Saves me at least $20 a day in rental for 1 hour! THANKS TOWER and my little dog likes it to, if I don't knock her with the paddle, LOL

Adds versatility to the board

Bought this fin to use on my IRace board on a local river that gets shallow in places. This shorter fin did the trick and worked great allowing me to get into and through places the standard fin would hit bottom. It was easy to install which was nice. Good way to give you some additional options on using your ISUP and worth the money.

Picked up a couple for our iSUPs for low tide use. Perfect for inshore paddling on the Gulf of Mexico. Can't wait to use them on a river trip.

Tower customer service is the real champion and the reason I keep going back to them for more SUP stuff.

These fins are a tad long, in my opinion, for whitewater use. They scrape in the occasional shallow spot. They're pretty tough to break, but it is possible if you get snagged in really rough water.

I don't love the bolt it uses to attach to the board. I have trouble finding a screwdriver that is that large.

Gave me the ability to go in a bit more shallow waters on the river while maintaining control. A "must have" item for paddling rivers.

The Explorer 9' 10" model works fine without a center fin in shallow rivers, but the fin sure helps for maneuverability in deeper rivers.

It really helps with tracking while I'm in whitewater (class 2-3). It does make me wonder why there is a metal bolt to hold it in, but the standard fin has a push pin connector.

Came out after several passes

This thing seemed like it was great. I was running on class II - III rapids and made several successful passes down the channel. I pulled out for a quick break and it was still there securely fashioned. I took one more pass of the day and when I pulled my board out I found the fin had come out of the box and was gone forever, but the bolt was still there. Quick 20 bucks spent.

If you'll be around rocks this is a must have!

I went out on the river with my iSUP several times before getting this fin and there is a substantial difference. Since changing to this fin I have been surprised multiple times by how shallow some of the areas were that I've been able to get through. There have been many rocks that I knew were going to catch me that I've gone right over. If you'll be out on a rocky river you absolutely need this fin because it is no fun to be going along at a good clip and catch a rock...

River paddling if great but you'll need this!

I love paddling the river on my SUP but it is absolutely no fun to snag a rock with your fin (a very sudden stop for your board but not so much for you). Since I switched to this fin I have yet to catch another rock and have managed to get through some crazy shallow patches. Plus it's short enough that I typically leave it on my board rolled up (probably not the officially recommended way). Exploring the river on your board is great but do yourself a favor and get this fin - it will be worth every penny the first time you see a rock under you at the last second!

I'm so glad they finally came out with a shorter river fin for the adventurer isup. I have been checking to see if they had one and finally they do. I got my fin and it works great. I would recommend this if you plan on paddling water that may be a little more shallow in areas that might catch your fin.
