Best SUP Board Photo Contest
San Diego, CA July 13, 2012 –
This summer, San Diego’s Tower Paddle Boards
will host a series of three photo contests, with
the winner of each contest receiving a free
inflatable
stand up paddle board
.
July’s contest theme is “Serene
Scenes”; contestants are asked to take
a photo with a paddle board that illustrates the
theme of serenity and post it on
Tower
Paddle Boards' Facebook page
or through Twitter
or
Instagram
along with the #TowerGiveaway and #SereneScenes
hash tags. The winner will be announced on all Tower
Paddle Boards’ social media feeds on Aug.
1. Once submitted to Tower for contest entry, Tower
Paddle Boards will share rights to the photos.
Ashley
Hannawacker, Director of Marketing and Business
Development for Tower Paddle Boards, said, “This
will engage communities in stand up paddle boarding
in a fun and interactive way! We are very excited
to see the assortment of photo submissions and to
see the SUP community come together during the contests.”
Tower CEO Stephan
Aarstol
said that inflatable paddle boards offer
entry into the sport for new enthusiasts because
of their portability.
“We are actually quite impressed with the
inflatable boards,” he said, “we recently
shot a
SUP
video
of one of the boards being thrown off
of a building to see how high it could bounce and
ran over one with an 8,000 lb truck. The durability
of the board was quite shocking.”
August and September photo contest themes will
be announced on all Tower’s social media feeds
at the end of each previous month. For more information email
