The level of care you need depends on your paddle.
High-end carbon fiber paddles frequently are quite
brittle in that you can chip the blade. There are protective
paddle bags on the market that you can use to carry
and store your paddles when in transport. Most paddles will be able to take a beating and still perform up to standard.
After each paddle boarding venture we recommend cleaning your paddle with lukewarm water in order to prevent rust and salt water build up from accumulating on the surface which can lead to long term deterioration of the paddle.
