9'10" SUP

$1200 Package Only $795

A beginner-friendly flatwater SUP, yet one that won't hold you back as you progress in the sport. An ideal cross-over designed for flatwater, yet is surf friendly in up to 4-5 foot waves.

The Tower Fit 9’10” SUP is a purposely designed and well conceived all around stand up paddle board that was designed by a local shaper in San Diego, a 25-year veteran surfboard shaper that’s been featured in Surfer Magazine. It's intentionally different that the default "copycat" beginner board that every SUP company has a version of (11'-12' long, 30" wide, 4 1/4" thick), which frankly is a bad design. The fit design is significantly shorter. It’s got more floatation. It’s more stable. It’s substantially lighter. And, it’s quite stunning.

Included::
Comes with a "Tower" branded adjustable aluminum paddle, a single SUP longboard fin, a sharp looking “Tower” branded deck pad, and an air vent. A hand slide carrying handle is built into the board, as well as a flexible five fin configuration of Futures fins boxes.

Description Technical Specs

At a volume of 200.5 liters and a width of 31 ¾”, this 9’10” board has more floatation and better stability than most “traditional” 11’6” plus cruisers on the market. It will effortlessly float a 250 lb paddler, or even an adult paddler and a small child riding on the nose. In a world of 30+ pound behemoth SUPS that barely fit in a garage, this sub-25 lb SUP is a featherweight that transports easily and stores more like a surfboard than an SUP. It achieves this by going a little wider (the primary determinant of stability), a lot thicker, and counter-intuitively almost a couple feet shorter. Volume and floatation is added (using more foam, which is the light part) while weight is reduced by minimizing the overall surface area (minimizing the epoxy resin and glassed surface area, the heavy part). What’s more… its outline shape is more like a great big shortboard, rather than a long board, so it enjoys performance benefits in the surf as well.

Tower SUP 9'10"
Double-concave bottom improves flat-water tracking and speed in the surf

Perhaps as classically beautiful as it is functional, the Tower Fit 9’10” is a perfect meeting of form, function, and good looks. A classic, triple stringer surfboard look with ample rocker, a thin, sexy squash tail, and a simple, yet elegant sanded finish make for a 60’s throw-back Southern Californian look. It feels like a surfboard. It looks like a surfboard, intentionally. Don’t be surprised when it turns a few heads at the beach… in stark contrast to the majority of goofy, painted windsurfer-like SUPs flooding the market.

Tower SUP Comparison

The finishing touches on the board were given just as much thought. Unlike many SUPs, where the traction pad is an afterthought, the sharp looking Tower branded traction pad was designed as an accessory to enhance the beauty of the board. A five Futures fin box configuration was added to allow for flexibility in intended use, and a screw in air vent is built into the board.

The Tower Fit 9’10” - a great board that’s easy on the eyes, easy to carry, easy to store, and quite simply easy to fall in love with.

Perfect for surfing and also flat water paddling. Thick, wide and great fin setup for all SUP conditions, catches waves and also tracks well in flat water. Easy to transport with built in carry handle.

Tower SUP November 9, 2012
Reviewer: Steve and Ellen from Coastal South Carolina
Tower Fit is really a great board.  Ashley was really terrific in helping us, newbies, with our 1st board.  She answered all of our 100's of questions and got us links to a great many "how to be a paddle boarder" sites. Ashley also did great followup after the SUP was delivered and how we were progressing in our use of the board.  We can always call her for more info and answers to out questions on how the board is handling.  We are located on a tidal sound on the coast of South Carolina.   We have wind, low roller waves and 9 knot currents when the tide is changing, all going on at the same time and in different direction.  We highly recommend Tower and Ashley for your SUP needs.  Tower's customer service is super and there when you need it.

What a way to start! October 11, 2012
Reviewer: Michael Miller from Los Osos, CA United States
I'm pretty new to SUP and had some reservations about making the investment. After looking around quite a bit I ordered my Tower 9'10'. It arrived fast in only 3 days and was in the water the next. It has been awesome! Right price, right board. I love it.

Tower Fit October 11, 2012
Reviewer: Jericho from Knoxville, TN United States
I'm a total beginner. I rented and tried other boards before I decided to buy this one. The Tower fit is just the right size for me; I am 5'11", 165 lbs. and have no problems carrying this board to and from my car rack (the others I've tried were HEAVY). This board floats and tracks well in flat water (lake). I can't wait to try it out in the ocean.
