Description Technical Specs

At a volume of 223 liters and a width of 31”, this 11’5” board is truly tandem friendly. It will glide smoothly carrying up to 350 lbs, so throw a friend up front and enjoy the water together. While it’s a beefy stand up paddle board in terms of stability and floatation, at only 32 lbs with pad and fins it’s actually lighter than many of the other large SUPs on the market.

Tower SUP Comparison
Tower Social 11'5" tandem friendly SUP (on bottom) next to our 9'10" Tower Fit

A classic, triple stringer surfboard look with ample rocker, a thin, sexy squash tail, and a simple, yet elegant sanded finish make for a 60’s throw-back Southern Californian look. It feels like a surfboard. It looks like a surfboard, intentionally. Don’t be surprised when it turns a few heads at the beach… in stark contrast to the majority of goofy, painted windsurfer-like SUPs flooding the market.

The finishing touches on the board were given just as much thought. Unlike many SUPs, where the traction pad is an afterthought, the sharp looking Tower branded traction pad was designed as an accessory to enhance the beauty of the board. A five Futures fin box configuration was added to allow for flexibility in intended use. A screw in air vent and a single longboard SUP center fin in is included with every board.

The Tower Social 11’5” - a fun, social SUP that will have the whole family spending more time on the water.

Supports my 95lb dog and me (200lbs) easily May 15, 2012
Reviewer: Robert from Columbia, SC United States
My German Shepherd dog can walk from the rear portion of the board (through my legs) and well forward of the deck pad without the bow of the board plowing under the water's surface.  The board could probably support my wife's body weight as well!

Great Product! Killer Price! April 19, 2012
Reviewer: Jared Snapp from Stow, MA United States
I been wanting to get into paddle boarding while not on vacation since the first time I checked one out as a rental in Hawaii 10 years ago but the price of boards is rediculous for a novus rider. Tower came along and changed that for me. I ordered, received, rode and love. Using mine on local lakes here in Massachusetts and I feel like I'm off on a vacation at least for a few hours when the spring weather cooperates. It's my sanity! Just wish I lived somewhere I can use it all year long, can not wait for summer. Thank you Tower!!!!

Really nice. SUPs are waaay overpriced, but this model seems reasonable amongst the forest of preposterously pricey competitors.

Tower Social 11"5" August 9, 2011
Reviewer: Dan in Colorado from Parker , CO United States
Paddler profile:  Fit 40 yr old male, 5'11" tall, 195 lbs, mostly flatwater, hopefully some scenic river runs as the runoff in our mountains (Colorado) slows down.

SUP Experience: New to the SUP world, never surfed, experienced whitewater kayaker. Rented a Rogue 11'x32"x5" soft top and have paddled wife's 10'6"x 29"x4 3/8" eps/bamboo SUP (not enough volume).

Tower experience:  First off, amazing customer service, shockingly fast and cheap shipping to Colorado.  SUP performance? So far, so awesome.  Board tracks well, great secondary stability when on edge (ski boat's wakes and wind chop) and for my limited experience, really quite speedy.  I had a dude in his touring kayak chase me down with some effort to figure out how I was going so fast, commenting that I was flying across the reservoir (and this was into the wind). I would highly recommend this SUP.
