iRace iSUP Board Only - 12'6"

16 review(s)

An "On the go" SUP racing/touring board that's also lightening fast. At 12'6" long and 6" thick, this is a revolutionary inflatable design. Originally designed for the jet-setting SUP-racing crowd, the Tower iRace inflatable SUP is also ideal for anyone that just wants a crazy fast flat-water touring board.

NOTE: Paddle and pump sold separately.

2-Year Warranty on iSUPs (does not apply to included accessories)

Note: A typical iSUP package of this quality would retail in a store for $1575.

Introducing the 12'6" Tower iRace SUP Package

Includes a 12'6" by 30" by 6" inflatable SUP, a high-end Tower branded diamond grooved deck pad, an fin box with a removable center fin, a hand hold strap, a roll-up carrying strap, a towing ring on the nose, and a leash attachment ring on the tail.

A New Design for Speed and Distance

It will shock you how fast the 12'6' Tower iRace inflatable paddle board is. This board is made for racers or recreational paddlers who still want the speed of a race board. At 12'6", it will cut through choppy water. If you're near an open ocean or larger lake, having a longer board will make it easier for you to paddle farther distances. This board is also a bit narrower than our other models, so it is a bit more streamlined for those out there who want to race with it. As SUP grows, you see more and more inflatable boards in races. We believe this design, with the pointed nose, narrower width and 6" thickness will be the go-to board for racers out there.

Even with all the benefits of a race board, that doesn't go to say recreational paddlers can't handle this board. If you're looking for a board faster than our all-around Adventurer, but a bit more compact than the exceptionally speedy Xplorer, this is the board for you! It has tons of volume and stability for everyday users. At 12'6", the added length also helps stabilize taller riders who may feel a bit wobbly on a shorter board.

Amazing Rigidity

The Tower iRace Inflatable SUP is made from extremely rugged materials like those you'd find on the highly regarded Zodiac boats and extreme river rafts. The amazing rigidity in the iRace is created by thousands of vertically oriented strands of identical length that connect the top deck to the bottom. When inflated, they form a structure that has the rigidity of a piece of plywood, and the thicker you go the exponentially more rigid it gets. You'll be amazed. We can literally put the front tip of the 12'6" Tower iRace on one chair and the rear tip on another chair and a 200 lb person can stand in the middle and you can barely see the thing flex.

Be weary of newer boards made with the fused process. While they may be lighter, they lose rigidity and durability in this newer construction process and are much lower quality boards overall.

A Viable EPS/Epoxy Board Alternative - We're not kidding!

Traditionally, inflatable SUPs were only a consideration for traveling - store one in the cuddy cabin on your yacht, take it with you on the plane, or haul it into that secret mountain lake or river and you can stand up paddle board in the farthest corners of the earth. With the combination of speed and rigidity of the Tower iRace, an inflatable SUP is hard to beat on flatwater with anything less than a full-fledged racing hard board... and don't be surprised if it outperforms a few of those.

Benefits of an Inflatable SUP over an EPS/Epoxy board

  • Easier to store - When rolled up, it's 1 foot in diameter and 35" wide.
  • Indestructible - Never worry again about dings and board cracks. I've literally thrown these things off a 2nd story deck and I frequently set it down anywhere (gravel, a parking lot, even on cement stairs).
  • Easier to transport - No need for roof racks. About the size of a rolled sleeping bag, it easily fits in any car or boat, and can even be strapped onto a bicycle or motorcycle. You can even take it on a plane.
  • Softer - You can literally play bumper boats with these. Kids can jump from one board to the other like they're jumping on an inner tube. You won't get knocked out in the waves either.
  • Easy on the feet - While very rigid, the air does cushion your feet a lot more than a hard board, no matter how good the deck pad is.
  • Less expensive - Which also makes it a great idea as a second board for travel or guests.

12'6" iRace

Review by: from on 10/13/2017
I love my new iRACE board! It arrived 2 days before I competed in the Race to the Dome on the Missouri River. I got the gold medal in the SUP division. I have a Adventurer model as well, and was able to purchase just the board, because the pumps are universal. Thank you for answering all my questions online quickly, and the speedy shipping.

Great board

Great company, great product

As advertised, the 12' 6" Race iSUP is much faster, and very stable in wind swells which we get plenty of at 9000 feet on Dillon Reservoir in Summit County CO. Love it!!

Sexy Board

The iRace is a beautiful board that cuts through the water like a knife. I love it!!

So much fun

This board is as advertised, it's fast. I have an Adventurer and wanted to get another board and thought the iRace would be a good choice. I can't tell you how much fun I've had on this board! Love this board and my Adventurer too.

Wow! Just WOW!!!

Using as more of a recreational board, so perfect for everything. Morning cruising, fishing, spearing, sun & fun. Very stable for a race type board. I'm 5'11" @ 200 lbs and this board is much better suited for me than my wife's Adventurer II. Love it. Get it on sale and you can't find a better iSUP for under $500.

iRace Sup

Review by: from on 6/25/2017
The iRace sup is more than I imagined. I'm not a sup workout person at this point - sticking with my surf ski... for that - but it definitely meets a fun, practical, efficient, transportable, well made and fast need that has already garnered attention from other boaters looking for something fun to use getting from the boat to the deserted beach. There are plenty of those here in Maine.

iRace 12' 6" board

Review by: from on 5/9/2017
I now have 4 Tower iSUPs. I love these boards! The black one does get very hot in the bright sunshine, but it is manageable. Just try to keep it in the shade when not using it, if the sun is out strong. I also have 2 ea -14 footers and a 9' 10" Adventurer. One of the 14 footers I left outside for several years and it is still tough as nails. Four D rings are a good idea to add in the front to bungie on life jackets, coolers, etc. I did that with all 4 of my boards. Try to wait for Tower to put these on sale. I particularly like the 12' 6" board, as it races pretty fast and is very stable in side chop....much more stable than my regular hard race boards! BTW...I weigh 212.

Great Experience, Great Product, Again

Review by: from on 4/26/2017
This is my second board from Tower, I still have the first one and use it daily (with my dogs), i bought this one to get into casual racing and just to go faster without the dogs along. I love it. The construction, quality, and appearance are great. I like the change of putting the inflation valve at the rear of the board as it will make it easier when the time comes to deflate the board and roll the air out.

fast, fun, get this one!

This is my 4th inflatable SUP from Tower and by far my favorite! Yes, I still have & use the other boards... :-) Great to share the SUP experience with friends and family. All of the inflatable boards are manufactured with the same quality and durability.

Love the original Adventurer and Adventurer 2. I added the iRace iSUP to the 'fleet' to go faster... this board is longer and narrower than the adventurer series. Still offers tremendous stability and yes, you can still sit, lay down, relax & float on this board. When it's time to move, this board gets you there faster.

I paired this board up with the 2-Piece Adjustable Ultralight Carbon Fiber paddle.

iRace rocks

Review by: from on 5/16/2016
I was torn between the iRace and Adventurer 2. After some input from Tower and researching all I could find about the iRace online I pulled the trigger and ordered. I had to wait almost a week to be able to use it due to bad weather and the like but I was finally able to get out on it for the first time. I took it out of the plastic bag it was shipped in and undid the nylon strap. The board unrolled in my living room and I watched the video that Tower had forwarded along on the basic set-up for the board as I attached the pump and inflated the board. 10 minutes later and it was up to pressure and looked great. I then put it on the roof of my car and strapped it down for the drive to the lake. It was nice an light to handle and get into the water. It did have a little different feel from my other traditional SUP as you do stand a little taller in the water but after that it was an easy paddle. I spent about 90 minutes on it and it performed as I had hoped. Get one!

Super for touring, high quality and convenience

Review by: from on 12/22/2015
I got mine 5 days ago and already took it out twice to sea.

Very easy to inflate and handle, quality feel and cool looks. The carry handle is the most convenient I've ever seen by far.

Stable, deck is easy on the feet, super firm in chop.

Speed is 20-25% higher than typical all-arounders, but still - I don't think it is a match for a race-class SUP.

Seems to be also very durable.

A great buy for touring, I'll even not rule out small wave surf - gotta try this.

Fast Board
