The iRace is an “on the go” SUP racing/touring board that’s also lightning-fast. At 12 feet 6 inches long and 6 inches thick, this is a revolutionary inflatable design. Originally designed for the jet-setting SUP-racing crowd, the Tower iRace inflatable stand-up paddle board is also ideal for anyone who just wants a super-fast flat-water touring board.

Note that this is just the board: You will need a pump to inflate it, and SUP paddles are sold separately as well. You can also buy this board in a complete ISUP package.

All inflatable SUPs come with a two-year warranty.

NOTE: This is just the board and fin. You will need a pump to inflate. SUP paddles sold separately, as well. Or buy this board in a complete iSUP package.

Tower iRace SUP Specs

When you buy the Tower iRace, you’ll get a 12-feet-6-inches-long, 30-inches-wide, 6-inches-thick inflatable SUP that includes a high-end Tower-branded diamond-grooved deck pad, a fin box with a removable center fin, a hand-hold strap, a roll-up carrying strap, a towing ring on the nose, and a leash attachment ring on the tail.

An Inflatable SUP Board With a New Design for Speed and Distance

It will shock you how fast the 12-foot-6 Tower iRace inflatable SUP board is! This inflatable paddle board is made for racers or recreational paddlers who want the speed of a race board. This 12' paddle board can cut through choppy water, and if you’re near an open ocean or larger lake, having a longer board will make it easier for you to paddle longer distances. This board is also a bit narrower than our other models, so it’s a bit more streamlined for those who want to race with it. Inflatable boards are becoming more and more popular in racing, and we believe that this design, with its pointed nose, narrower width, and 6-inch thickness, will become the go-to board for racers out there.

Even with all of the benefits of a racing board, that doesn’t mean that recreational paddlers can’t handle this board. If you’re looking for a board faster than our all-around Adventurer but a bit more compact than the exceptionally speedy Xplorer, this is the board for you! It has tons of volume and stability for everyday users. At 12 feet 6 inches, the added length of this red inflatable paddle board also helps to stabilize taller riders who may feel a bit wobbly on a shorter board.

Amazing Rigidity

The Tower iRace red inflatable paddle board is made from extremely rugged materials like those you’d find on the highly regarded Zodiac boats and extreme river rafts. The amazing rigidity of the iRace is created by thousands of vertically oriented strands of identical length that connect the top deck to the bottom. When inflated, they form a structure that has the rigidity of a piece of plywood, and the thicker you go, the more rigid it gets. We can literally put the front tip of the 12-foot-6 Tower iRace on one chair and the rear tip on another chair and have a 200-pound person stand in the middle, and the board barely flexes.

Be wary of newer boards made with the fused process. While they may be lighter, they lose rigidity and durability and are much lower-quality boards overall.

A Viable EPS/Epoxy Board Alternative

Traditionally, inflatable SUPs were only a consideration for traveling: Stow one on your yacht, take it with you on the plane, or haul it to that secret mountain lake or river and you can stand-up paddle board in the farthest corners of the world. But with the combination of speed and rigidity in the Tower iRace red paddle board, you’ll be hard to beat on flat water with anything less than a full-fledged racing hard board … and don’t be surprised if it outperforms a few of those, too.

Benefits of an Inflatable SUP Over an EPS/Epoxy Board

  • Easy to Store: When rolled up, these 12' SUP boards are 1 foot in diameter and 35 inches wide.
  • Indestructible: Never worry about dings and board cracks ever again! These boards can be thrown off of a second-story deck or set down on gravel without a scratch.
  • Easy to Transport: You’ll have no need for roof racks, as this red paddle board is about the size of a rolled sleeping bag when it’s deflated. It easily fits in any car or boat and can even be strapped onto a bicycle or motorcycle. You can even take it on a plane. This SUP is designed to fit your lifestyle.
  • Soft: You can even play bumper boats with this paddle board, and kids can jump from one board to the other safely, without ever worrying about getting knocked out in the waves.
  • Easy on the Feet: While very rigid, this inflatable SUP in red has a deck pad that cushions your feet better than some of the top hard boards on the market.
  • Less Expensive: The low price of the iRace makes it a great second board for travel or guests.

I wanted a longer board for longer trips but was apprehensive about the 30" width. Not to worry! The iRace was as stable as my 10' board that is 32" wide. I also ran it over with my SUV by accident...and it didn't pop. What else could you want???

I'm sitting in the water as I type, The Joker playing on my speaker, charcoal grill aroma and waves breaking on the rocks at Lake Mead just outside my hometown of Las Vegas. Because of you I've found the water. The quality is assuring and allows me to just enjoy and trust the equipment.

A great board! An even better value!

This is a really nice board to paddle. Great size, keeps a straight line and adequately maneuverable. And it looks super bitchin' in red!
Gotta dock it a star for not having any bungees for cargo. I get it's a "racing" board but still, don't racers carry at least a water bottle and small dry bag?
My other board is an iRocker, which I love. They're both super high quality. But the tip goes to Tower. $429 is what you'd pay for a (decent) used board or even a (cruddy) new one.
Buy this board.

Exploding Paddle Boards!!

I bought two black irace paddle boards a few years back. Last year one exploded on me as I was preparing to launch it. You graciously replaced it with a new red irace. I decided to buy another just in case that happened again and because it was nice with friends in town to have two spares. This week a second paddle board exploded. So out of the three I've purchased I'm down to just two paddle boards again. I actually love your product. I have four friends who bought 7 of them from you this last month with my encouragement (John May, Calvin Hagood, Diana Dierks, Colton Rector), but it's a big bummer having them explode. I assume that design flaw has been corrected. Other than that I and my goldendoodles love them!

12'6" iRace SUP

This (red) iRace SUP is my second board from Tower; my first purchase was the (blue) Adventurer 2. I love both my boards and appreciate the differences between them! [I paddle on a mostly calm lake w/ some boat wake]. The iRace definitely cuts through the water and glides better than the Adventurer 2. I feel more efficient and use less energy on the iRace. Both boards are stable with the iRace having a bit more side to side wobble compared to the Adventurer 2. However, I can still do all the same footwork, maneuvers, and pivot turns just as well. In fact, I think it improves my balance because it encourages better center-line foot positioning. Having that extra length on the board is so enjoyable when stepping back and forth. I've now paddled on the original Adventurer (rental), the Adventurer 2, and the iRace. They have all been fantastic boards! Tower customer service has also been wonderful!

Tower of Power!

I purchased Tower’s original ten foot ISUP for my wife about four years ago. From day one, she has loved it! I am not a small guy at 6’3 240 lbs. This board holds me easily, tracks extremely well, and glides right through the choppy water of the SC coastal inlets where we use it. I fill this board to 14 psi with Tower’s hand pump. It is a bit of a workout on those last few pounds of air, but that’s the whole point right? The paddle included is better than most you can buy at your local marine/outdoor store. The skeg (fin) is durable and holds the board true. Trust me, my wife has run this thing aground multiple times and it’s still as snug and straight as the day it was delivered. Because of Tower’s outstanding reputation and build quality, I just purchased the 14’ racing ISUP for myself. I cannot wait to baptize this thing in our salty South Carolina waters later this week. I have been a Tower fan for years and stand behind their products. I was not paid to write this review. Honestly, their products are just that good. Take the chance, buy one of their board packages (with paddle and pump), and you can thank them later, just like I am doing right now.

iRace & Adventurer 2 Review

As first time SUPers we are so happy with our decision to purchase Tower's iRace and Adventurer 2 as our first paddle boards. As advertised these boards are sturdy, easy to store away and inflate/deflate like a dream. Navigating products across the SUP land is intimidating but with Tower you get exactly what you pay for. We only ordered the boards and they arrived timely. As first timers our main concern was purchasing a sturdy board that would support us with no sag. We only inflated the boards to the minimum PSI of 10 and damn these boards are stiff. Get an electric pump. Thank you Tower for the first time experience! We are so happy!

This is my 2nd Tower inflatable board. Wanted something a bit longer for touring and absolutely love my new “red sled”. I live in Florida and am fortunate that we can paddle year round , this board is ideal for the fresh water springs, I have gotten stopped every time I take it out . It’s a real beauty!
