An "On the go" SUP racing/touring board that's also lightening fast. At 12'6" long and 6" thick, this is a revolutionary inflatable design. Originally designed for the jet-setting SUP-racing crowd, the Tower iRace inflatable SUP board is also ideal for anyone that just wants a crazy fast flat-water touring board.

NOTE: This is just the board and fin. You will need a pump to inflate. SUP paddles sold separately, as well. Or buy this board in a complete iSUP package.

Inflatable SUP Board: The 12'6" Tower iRace SUP (Board Only)

Includes a 12'6" by 30" by 6" inflatable SUP, a high-end Tower branded diamond grooved deck pad, an fin box with a removable center fin, a hand hold strap, a roll-up carrying strap, a towing ring on the nose, and a leash attachment ring on the tail.

Inflatable SUP Board: A New Design for Speed and Distance

It will shock you how fast the 12'6' Tower iRace inflatable sup board is. This inflatable paddleboard is made for racers or recreational paddlers who still want the speed of a race board. At 12'6", it will cut through choppy water. If you're near an open ocean or larger lake, having a longer board will make it easier for you to paddle farther distances. This board is also a bit narrower than our other models, so it is a bit more streamlined for those out there who want to race with it. As stand up paddle boarding grows, you see more and more inflatable boards in races. We believe this design, with the pointed nose, narrower width and 6" thickness will be the go-to board for racers out there.

Even with all the benefits of a race board, that doesn't go to say recreational paddlers can't handle this board. If you're looking for a board faster than our all-around Adventurer, but a bit more compact than the exceptionally speedy Xplorer, this is the board for you! It has tons of volume and stability for everyday users. At 12'6", the added length also helps stabilize taller riders who may feel a bit wobbly on a shorter board.

Amazing Rigidity

The Tower iRace Inflatable SUP board is made from extremely rugged materials like those you'd find on the highly regarded Zodiac boats and extreme river rafts. The amazing rigidity in the iRace is created by thousands of vertically oriented strands of identical length that connect the top deck to the bottom. When inflated, they form a structure that has the rigidity of a piece of plywood, and the thicker you go the exponentially more rigid it gets. You'll be amazed. We can literally put the front tip of the 12'6" Tower iRace on one chair and the rear tip on another chair and a 200 lb person can stand in the middle and you can barely see the thing flex.

Be weary of newer boards made with the fused process. While they may be lighter, they lose rigidity and durability in this newer construction process and are much lower quality boards overall.

A Viable EPS/Epoxy Board Alternative - We're not kidding!

Traditionally, inflatable SUPs were only a consideration for traveling - store one in the cuddy cabin on your yacht, take it with you on the plane, or haul it into that secret mountain lake or river and you can stand up paddle board in the farthest corners of the earth. With the combination of speed and rigidity of the Tower iRace, an inflatable SUP is hard to beat on flatwater with anything less than a full-fledged racing hard board... and don't be surprised if it outperforms a few of those.

Benefits of an Inflatable SUP over an EPS/Epoxy board

  • Easier to store - When rolled up, it's 1 foot in diameter and 35" wide.
  • Indestructible - Never worry again about dings and board cracks. I've literally thrown these things off a 2nd story deck and I frequently set it down anywhere (gravel, a parking lot, even on cement stairs).
  • Easier to transport - No need for roof racks. About the size of a rolled sleeping bag, it easily fits in any car or boat, and can even be strapped onto a bicycle or motorcycle. You can even take it on a plane.
  • Softer - You can literally play bumper boats with these. Kids can jump from one board to the other like they're jumping on an inner tube. You won't get knocked out in the waves either.
  • Easy on the feet - While very rigid, the air does cushion your feet a lot more than a hard board, no matter how good the deck pad is.
  • Less expensive - Which also makes it a great idea as a second board for travel or guests.

12'6" iRace SUP

This (red) iRace SUP is my second board from Tower; my first purchase was the (blue) Adventurer 2. I love both my boards and appreciate the differences between them! [I paddle on a mostly calm lake w/ some boat wake]. The iRace definitely cuts through the water and glides better than the Adventurer 2. I feel more efficient and use less energy on the iRace. Both boards are stable with the iRace having a bit more side to side wobble compared to the Adventurer 2. However, I can still do all the same footwork, maneuvers, and pivot turns just as well. In fact, I think it improves my balance because it encourages better center-line foot positioning. Having that extra length on the board is so enjoyable when stepping back and forth. I've now paddled on the original Adventurer (rental), the Adventurer 2, and the iRace. They have all been fantastic boards! Tower customer service has also been wonderful!

I purchased Tower’s original ten foot ISUP for my wife about four years ago. From day one, she has loved it! I am not a small guy at 6’3 240 lbs. This board holds me easily, tracks extremely well, and glides right through the choppy water of the SC coastal inlets where we use it. I fill this board to 14 psi with Tower’s hand pump. It is a bit of a workout on those last few pounds of air, but that’s the whole point right? The paddle included is better than most you can buy at your local marine/outdoor store. The skeg (fin) is durable and holds the board true. Trust me, my wife has run this thing aground multiple times and it’s still as snug and straight as the day it was delivered. Because of Tower’s outstanding reputation and build quality, I just purchased the 14’ racing ISUP for myself. I cannot wait to baptize this thing in our salty South Carolina waters later this week. I have been a Tower fan for years and stand behind their products. I was not paid to write this review. Honestly, their products are just that good. Take the chance, buy one of their board packages (with paddle and pump), and you can thank them later, just like I am doing right now.

iRace & Adventurer 2 Review

As first time SUPers we are so happy with our decision to purchase Tower's iRace and Adventurer 2 as our first paddle boards. As advertised these boards are sturdy, easy to store away and inflate/deflate like a dream. Navigating products across the SUP land is intimidating but with Tower you get exactly what you pay for. We only ordered the boards and they arrived timely. As first timers our main concern was purchasing a sturdy board that would support us with no sag. We only inflated the boards to the minimum PSI of 10 and damn these boards are stiff. Get an electric pump. Thank you Tower for the first time experience! We are so happy!

This is my 2nd Tower inflatable board. Wanted something a bit longer for touring and absolutely love my new “red sled”. I live in Florida and am fortunate that we can paddle year round , this board is ideal for the fresh water springs, I have gotten stopped every time I take it out . It’s a real beauty!
