Bellingham Native’s Stand Up Paddle Board Company to be Featured on ABC’s Beyond the Tank
Bellingham Native, Stephan Aarstol, and his Mark Cuban funded company, Tower Paddle Boards, will be featured in a 15 to 30 minutes prime-time segment on ABC’s Beyond the Tank, which is an extension of the Emmy award winning show Shark Tank, at 10/9c on Tuesday, October 6th.
Born in Bellingham, Stephan grew up in Whatcom County and graduated from Mt. Baker High School, and earned a degree in business administration from Western Washington University. In July of 2011, Aarstol brought his stand up paddle board company to the Sharks and in the end struck a deal with Mark Cuban. Beyond the Tank will show Stephan and Cuban working together on different areas of the company to see what they can grow and improve. Tune in to find out what this Bellingham native and the billionaire can accomplish when they put their heads together.
Using his business acumen developed during his undergraduate studies in the College of Business and Economics at WWU and the leadership skills acquired as Senior Class President at Mt. Back High School (Class of ’90) Stephan has successfully led his San Diego based company to be ranked the #1 Fastest Growing Private Company in San Diego in 2014 and in 2015, to be ranked #239 Inc. Magazine's "Inc. 500" list of fastest growing companies in the US (out of over 30 million US companies.)
Since Cuban's investment four years ago, Tower has increased sales by 3,000 percent, currently sits at over $10 million lifetime sales (to date,) named as one of Inc. 500's Top Ten "Most Impressive Products," has been featured on PayPal's customer spotlight and is one of the 15 Amazon Exclusive Brands -- to list a few accomplishments. It's no question why Cuban told Forbes.com that Tower is one of his best Shark Tank investments.
